drawing of cottage garden

Saturday, 20 June, from 10am to 4pm

A date has been set for this enjoyable event and we are looking for willing gardeners across the parish to throw open their gates. We are going to try slightly different opening hour arrangements this year, with options to open from 10am–1pm, 12noon–4pm or 10 am–4pm. We hope this will enable those garden openers who would like to get around to see some other gardens themselves to do so. If you would like any more information about what this entails, please get in touch.

Gardens of all shapes, sizes and styles – from tidy borders to wildflower/wildlife havens – are welcome ... there's no need to be a plant expert with a ‘perfect’ plot!

This event is usually held every two years. In 2024, as a result of the generosity and kindness of those who opened their gardens – as well as the many members of the community and visitors who supported it – funds raised made a significant and much appreciated contribution towards the cost of a new dishwasher at the Village Hall and buildings upkeep for the church. The Village Hall Committee is now working towards comprehensive floor repairs/replacement, including improving the under-floor insulation. St Andrew’s is working on improving the path from the lychgate to the church.

Proceeds will be divided between the Village Hall and St Andrew's Church.

If you are interested in opening your garden, please contact Joy Tucker at mailto:bobandjoytucker@gmail.com or on 07749 522996.

Thank you.
